Fluid Fill represents an alternative for filling and leveling works, since it offers greater progress on site, thanks to the fact that it does not require the use of compaction equipment and it is not necessary to place it in layers.
In addition, compared to traditional methods, it does not require vibration to achieve correct consolidation.
Ideal for filling excavations of hydraulic, sanitary, electrical, telephone, gas pipes and, in general, all those where pipes will be housed.
Useful in:
Replacement of the granular material immediately attached to the wearing course
Construction of embankments
Construction of platforms for the removal of pavements
Bases and sub-bases for pavements
Leveling of roof slabs
Improvement of soils in which there are caves
Technical information
Resistance to Compression from 10 to 80 kg/cm². If you require higher resistances, consult an expert from Moctezuma.
Complies with the quality for bases and sub-bases for pavements. Unit weight from 1,600 to 2,100 kg/m³, depending on the region of the country.
Percentage of included air from 10 to 30%.
Slumps from 14 to 24 cm. In resistances close to or greater than 30 kg/cm², there is an associated VRS practically greater than 100%. If an exact value is needed it is important that the VRS is determined for the specific project.
Care:
Does not resist abrasion, braking, snoring or vehicular traction or similar mechanical action.
If it is intended to be left as a final finish, it must be protected against the weather or friction to prevent it from deteriorating.
In leveling fill applications, for example, roof slabs, in most cases it is necessary to give a final finish. As a type of bonding bridge, or as a grout or mortar type that allows the subsequent placement of a finish, such as a floor or waterproofing.
Advantages
Simple to remove, due to its low resistance to compression and wear, it is easily excavated; in low resistance with pick and shovel; and in higher resistances with a low-impact mechanical tool.
It has semi-self-compacting properties, depending on the requested slump.
In most cases, it does not require curing.
Due to its use as a filler, it is not necessary to take care of the issue of cold joints, layers after layers can be applied without the need to worry about the mortar binding.
Reduces construction costs vs. traditional filling processes.
Reduces the storage of cementitious materials on site, such as tepetate or cement in packages.
